Practical training program, students can earn money while studying at TUAF

The training program aimed at enhancing practice and equipping students of the University, many young people not only become more confident with their knowledge but also can earn more income.

Le Truong Giang (Plant Science student from Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry is still meticulously repairing each potting soil, picking grass at the university's experimental garden like a real farmer.

Giang said that I am a final year student and my topic is to study the development of gourd flowers. My main job is to take care of and make a substrate to close the flower pots. Giang also calculates what fertilizers to fertilize, how to prepare the substrate to suit the types of plants and flowers he grows. In the late afternoon, when it is cooler, Giang will water the plants. "This helps me apply a lot of the theoretical knowledge I learned", Giang shares. Therefore, Giang said he could earn 3 - 5 million VND / month, which is enough for him to partially cover the costs of studying and living.

Like Giang, Duc has an average monthly income of about 5 million VND while attending school. In my opinion, this number is not only enough for living but also abundant.

To work in these experimental gardens, Duc said, in the past, the students would contact themselves. But now, with the application oriented training program, the lecturers will contact the garden owners and businesses to actively bring students to internships.

Duc confided, before when I enrolled in farming, I imagined that in the future I would just grow rice or do pure agriculture. But now, I see the prospects for high-tech agriculture, and I am completely confident about "making money".  Therefore, it is expected that after graduation, Duc will open its own farm and start a business. Many friends of Giang and Duc still take care of and set up vegetable gardens and flower gardens for families in the inner city.
