Exploring the potential cooperation areas with BOKU, Austria

On July 25, 2018, Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung - Vice Rector for Research and International Affairs had a meeting with the delegation of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Austria lead by Prof. Josef Eitzinger - Head, Institute Meteorology.

Attending the meeting were Dr. Pham Bang Phuong - Vice Director of Research & International Affairs Office, Dr. Ho Ngoc Son - Deputy Director of Agriculture and Forestry Research and Development Center for Mountainous Region (ADC) , Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thi Lan - Dean of Environment Faculty, Dr. Luu Thi Xuyen - Vice Dean of Faculty of Agronomy, Assoc. Prof. Dr.. Phan Dinh Binh - Deputy Dean of Resource Management Faculty and lecturers of Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Environment and Faculty of Resource Management.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung delivered a welcome message to BOKU delegation and gave an introduction to TUAF and emphasized that one of TUAF strategies is to strengthen the cooperation with prestigious international partners to improve the quality of training and research. He also proposed the potential areas for the cooperation between TUAF and BOKU such as student exchange, joint training programs; and joint research projects. 

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibilities of the collaboration and jointly organized a seminar on Impacts of climate change on agricultural production and solutions for climate change mitigation.
