The visit of delegation from The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA)

On May 30, 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dien – Rector of TUAF had a meeting with the delegates from The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) lead by Ms. Maria Cristeta N. Cuaresma, Program Head, Graduate Education and Institutional Development.

The purpose of SEARCA delegation’s visit is to expand the cooperation activities related to providing scholarships for TUAF staffs, research grants and co-organizing conference. In addition, SEARCA delegates conducted the interview with TUAF staffs who received support from the Food Security Center (FSC) when they attended some events organized either by SEARCA or Kasetsart University.

Currently, Vietnam is represented in the SEARCA Governing Board by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dien for the term 2017-2020. In 2015, SEARCA was one of the co-organizers of the International Conference on "Livelihoods Development and Sustainable Environment Management in the context of Climate Change - LDEM" hosted by TUAF. From June 11-15, 2018, SEARCA & TUAF will jointly offer an English Advanced Course to 20 TUAF teaching staffs.
