Working visit of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan to Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF)

On 8^th – 9^th  October 2017 the delegation from National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) had a working visit to Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), led by Distinguished Prof. Ming‐Chang Wu (Department of Food Science; Chairman of Institute of Food Safety Management; Chairman of Center of Food Safety, NPUST; Chairman of Taiwan Association for Food Science and Technology; Deputy Chairman of Taiwan Agricultural Industry‐Academia Alliance; Senior Industrial Advisor (SIA), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)).

During the official meets, the delegation have had a discussion with TUAF Rector; representatives of Department of Research and International Affairs, Dr. Duong Van Thao - Deputy Director of Advanced Education Program and representatives of Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Technology (FBFT) on potential collaboration regarding joint program, student/staff exchange programs and invited lecturers. Particularly, the delegation has a very detail discussion with FBFT related to their strong interests on functional food made from Momordica Gac fruits. After the discussion, the delegation also visited Gac farm in Vo Nhai with FBFT staff for further ideas of future research for that fruit.
