Announcement for International Conference on Livelihood Development and Environmental Management Strategies adapting to climate change in the Northern Mountainous Region

Subject: Announcement for international conference held at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry

It is my pleasure to inform you that Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry  (TUAF) will hold the International Conference on “Livelihood Development and Environmental Management  Strategies Adapting to Climate Change in the Northern Mountainous Region” on 13 to 15 November 2015 at the Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam. A combination of academics/researchers, development practitioners, community/civil society representatives, and agro-business people from national and local government units and non-government organizations are invited to participate in this conference. Whilst from other countries, participants would be academics/researchers and development practitioners.

In this context, knowing your expertise in line with livelihood development, poverty alleviation and climate change and/or other subjects covered by the conference, the conference committee is inviting you to participate in this international conference. The Conference sub-topics include but are not limited to: (1) Environmental Resources Management adapting to Climate Change; (2) Livelihood development for Poverty Alleviation in connection with Northern Mountainous Regions Economic development strategy; (3)  Exchanging and sharing of experiences, new ideas on sustainability concepts and research results of livelihood development and adaptation to Climate Change; (4) Impacts of climate change to ecological environment and livelihoods of upland people; (5) Livelihood initiative for climate change adaptation; (6) Formulation of policy in Vietnam and the world for climate change adaptation... You may select topics of your interest which may be in line with your suitable programs/projects.

The conference organizers will provide transport car to all participants from Noi Bai International Airport to the hotel and during the conference in Thai Nguyen city. TUAF will tender a dinner party on November 13 and luncheon parties on November 14-15, 2015.
