Cultural performance

Attending the conference were Mr. Truong Xuan Cu, Deputy Chief of the Northwest; Leaders of Ministry of Education and Training, Thai Nguyen University and representatives of the 24 university members of club and 02 observing universities.

As for Ha Giang, there were presence of Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, Head of Delegation of the XIV National Assembly in Ha Giang;  Mr. Hoang Van Vinh, Provincial Commissioner, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Duc Quy, Provincial Commissioner, Vice-Chairman; Mrs. Ha Thi Minh Hanh, Provincial Commissioner, Vice-Chairman;  and leaders of some departments of the province.

On the side of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, attending were Prof. Dr. Tran  Van Dien, Party Secretary and Rector of TUAF; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Nong and Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung, Vice Rector of TUAF; heads of units; and the reporters of the conference.

The Science – Technology Club of Technical Universities was founded in 1993, now has 24 institutes and universities participated, with orientation to create cohesion and strengthen cooperation in training, scientific research and technological development between academia, technical colleges in the club; at the same time, application and transfer of technology to locality, contribute positively to the development of the country. The scientific conference this year was held in Ha Giang province with the theme " The technical universities with the socio-economic development and Ha Giang provincial security and defense ".

Speaking at the conference, the Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh highly appreciated the cooperation between locality and researchers, universities in the development of science and technology in recent years. Through this conference, Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh expressed his desire that scientists and technical universities will cooperate and transfer some scientific topics that are of interest of Ha Giang province, namely: Alternative materials for roofing; water treatment technology; Physical properties of Alder (Tống Quán Sủ) plant and its usage purposes; solution treatment of food poisoning related to mushroom, Heartbreak (Gelsemium elegans); study on the utilization of medicinal properties of Aconitum fortunei plant ; the process of cultivation, et cetera.

On behalf of the TUAF, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dien, the Rector insisted that this conference is an opportunity for the university to share the experience on scientific research in the fields of agriculture, forestry and environmental resources, it is also a forum for scientists to exchange and find  scientific and technological solutions that contribute to the development of Ha Giang province. The Rector expressed his sincere thanks for the support of the People's Committee of Ha Giang Province and the departments and agencies in collaboration with the university in the organizing process of the conference, and believed that it would take place successfully and memorably.

Before the official conference, an internal meeting of the Science – Technology Club of Technical Universities was held to summarize the activities of the club, with the following contents: Summary of activities of the club after the 48th workshop in Can Tho City; experience in implementing circulars 27/2015/TTLT-BKH&CN-BTC dated on 30 December 2015 about the performance of scientific and technological tasks using the State budget within the allocated expenditure regulation; experience in managing scientific and technological activities in universities and recommendations for the operation of the club in the near future ...

On this occasion, Nha Trang University was officially admitted to be a member of the club, bringing the total number of club’s members to 24 members. The 50th conference of the club will be held at Hanoi University of Architecture.
