The visit of the delegates from Vientiane Department of Education and Sports, Lao PDR to TUAF

On July 12, 2019 Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung – Vice Rector, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry had a meeting with the delegation from Vientiane Department of Education and Sports, Lao PDR lead by Xomphou KEOPANYA and Mr. Outhay Bannavong - First Secretary, Embassy of Laos in Hanoi, Vietnam. Attending the meeting, there were also the presences of Dr. Duong Van Thao – Vice Director of Research & International Affairs Office; and Ly Thi Thuy Duong – Deputy Director of Technology Incubation and Startup Support Center.

At the meeting, Dr. Duong Van Thao given a the brief information about the development history, organizational structure, training and research activities of TUAF and two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in training mainly focusing on receiving more Lao students to study at TUAF especially at the Advanced Education Program including Bachelor of Environmental Science And Management, Bachelor of Agricultural Economics, Bachelor of Food Technology and Master of Science in Environment which will be offered from July, 2019 in collaboration with partner from Germany.

The leader of Vientiane Department of Education and Sports said that they will organize extracurricular activities Lao students and their parents as well as Lao teachers to visit TUAF and asked TUAF for supporting Vientiane Department of Education and Sports to provide short-term training course for their teachers.

Both sides expressed their desire to cooperate in the field of training in order to contribute to further strengthen the friendly and traditional cooperative relations between Vietnam and Laos.
