Attracting more Lao Students to study at TUAF

On April 24, 2019 Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung – Vice Rector, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry had a meeting with the delegation from Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR lead by Mr. Thavone OUDOMSIN  and Mr. Outhay Bannavong - First Secretary, Embassy of Laos in Hanoi, Vietnam. Attending the meeting, there were also the presences of Dr. Duong Van Thao – Vice Director of Research & International Affairs Office; and Dr. Duong Ngoc Duong – Deputy Head of Advanced Education Program.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung given a the brief information about the development history, organizational structure, training and research activities of TUAF and two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in training mainly focusing on receiving more Lao students to study at TUAF. It is expected that in May 2019, Ministry of Education & Training, Vietnam and Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR will co-host the education exhibition in Lao. TUAF will attend this event and discuss to explore the areas for collaboration with the University of Agriculture, the National University of Laos.

Both sides expressed their desire to cooperate in the field of training in order to contribute to further strengthen the friendly and traditional cooperative relations between Vietnam and Laos.
