The Webometrics Ranking of universities: TUAF is on top 10 universities in Vietnam

It has ranked 9th in Vietnamese universities and 117th in South East Asia , 1171th in Asia, and 3192th worldwide.TUAF position in Vietnamese universities has improved from previous ranking at number 13 to 09.

The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spanish National Research Council, CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain. Every six months CSIC evaluates the criteria of universities’ activity in the Web and the quality and quantity of relevant information on university websites.

The objective is not to evaluate websites, their design or usability or the popularity of their contents according to the number of visits or visitors. Web indicators are considered as proxies in the correct, comprehensive, deep evaluation of the university global performance, taking into account its activities and outputs and their relevance and impact.

Since 2004, Webometrics Rank of University is published twice a year (data is collected during the first weeks of January and July for being public at the end of both months), covering more than 20,000 Higher Education Institutions worldwide.
