Training on biological safety in laboratory at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry
From December 24 to December 26, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Science and Technology held a training course and issued certificates of biosafety to laboratory staff. The content of the training session focused on: state management of genetically modified organisms, the basic contents of biosafety in the laboratory and GMOs and environmental safety.
The guest speakers were Prof. Dr Le Huy Ham - Agricultural Genetics Institute, Prof. Dr. Ngo Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology for the Economy and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology and 40 trainees who took part in the training are managers and staff working in biotechnology laboratories of institutes, schools, institutions that are implementing to scientific research and technological development activities for genetics.
After this training, all participants will have a biosafety foundation to conduct safety research in this field.
