Vietnam Challenge for Environment: Call for Researchers and Entrepreneurs

The U.S. Embassy Hanoi in partnership with Swiss EP and Hatch is launching a challenge to match researchers with entrepreneurs to create sustainable solutions not only to help our environment, but also to stimulate Vietnam’s academic research and encourage startup innovation.

Why: Environmental problems negatively impact human health and quality of life. In spite of growing awareness and extensive research, there are not enough viable, sustainable, and scalable solutions to address these challenges.

What: Researchers will present their research projects with practical environmental applications to entrepreneurs. Startup teams are formed. Existing startups on environmental and energy can also apply. Selected teams will attend a boot-camp and be matched with mentors. At the Demo Day, six startups will be recognized for their solutions and receive seed funds, publicity and exposure.
