There were the presences of Dr.Tran Van Dien – Rector of TUAF, Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Ngoan – Vice Rector, Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha - Director of The Northern Mountainous Forestry Research Center, Dr. Ho Van Son – Vice Dean of Forestry Faculty at the meeting with the delegation of CSIRO.
The representative of TUAF and Mr. David firstly presented the introduction of TUAF, CSIRO and ATSC.
During the meeting, the discussion between two sides focused on: Australian species will remain a part of Vietnamese forestry. Pure species and hybrids for challenging sites: Advanced breeding of eucalypts and acacias; Sustainable plantation management and Wood products from plantation-grown, eucalypts and acacias (pulp, MDF, particle broad, furniture).
On the occasion of the visit to TUAF, the delegation of CSIRO had a trip to the Forestry Research Center in Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang province and the Research Center for Temperate Plant in Phia Den, Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang Province.
