NTHU is a comprehensive research university. It has 7 colleges, 17 departments and 18 independent graduate institutes: the College of Science, Engineering, Nuclear Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Life Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and the College of Technology Management. The Commission for General Education supervises the university's general education curricula. NTHU employs over 644 full-time faculty members including 362 professors, 170 associate professors and 100 assistant professors. More than 11,942 students, around 6,233 undergraduates, 3,916 master candidates and 1,793 for doctoral candidates as of data of the first semester 2014. Annually, NTHU publishes 1600 to 1700 articles in SCI journals.

Since 2014, TUAF has sent 17 AEP (Advance Education Program) students and 01 young faculty to study at NTHU. Two sides will enhance the collaboration in the near future.
