On September, 2012 the Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) held a course ending ceremony and a formal graduate degree in the field of Environmental Science, Land management, Agricultural Technical Pedagogy, Forestry, Agroforestry and Forest resource management.
On 21st September 2012, the Graduate school organized a seminar namely Hi-tech Agriculture in the World and in Vietnam at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF). All contents of the seminar were presented by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Bo, director of Vietnam Academy of Agriculture Science.
Belgian Bilateral Scholarships, funded by the Belgian Government through the Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGD) within the Public Federal Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, enable young professionals from Vietnam to pursue Master studies in Belgium and gain new expertise for the benefit of Vietnam.
The Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry warmly welcomed professors from Seoul National University of Korea last December 2, 2011. The main objective of the working visit was to implement exchange educational programs between the two universities. The Korean delegation was headed by Professor Suk Ha Hee while TUAF was represented by its very own University Rector, Dr.Tran Van Dien together with the office staffs and students from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Technology, Faculty of Agronomy and the Office of Science and International Affairs.
On morning March 9, 2012, University of Agriculture and Forestry warmly welcomed Mrs. Helen from Keele University,- United Kingdom to work with the school. Through the meeting, the two universities have agreed to sign a memorandum cooperation on the following areas:
On April annually, the atmosphere of spring diffuses in each class of Lao students studying in Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. In April, when the withered branches of Doc Khun trees across Laos start start sprouting buds as signal to Lao new year
In the framework of growing sweet sorghum project between TUAF and Japanese Earthnote company and Daiwa Institute of Research , the Japanese partners came to Vietnam for working ;rom 4 to April 15 in 2012. During time in Vietnam, Japanese partners had a meeting with TUAF’s leaders to discuss about the difficulties and advantages in organizing of producing sweet sorghum at local areas.
At the invitation of the Israeli Embassy to Vietnam to the meeting between Israeli President Shimon Peres and members having attended MASHAV program in November 26, 2011 at Thang Long Meeting room, Hotel Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Dr. Tran Van Dien – Rector, representing TUAF and staffs from Department of Science and International Relations has attended.
On August 16 2012, Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with the heading of Mr. Osamu Mutara- senior consultant of agency visited and worked in our school. The school’s representatives Associate Professor Ngoan Tran Ngoc and Dr. Thao Hoang Thi Bich warmly welcomed and worked with the staffs of agency.
