Officials of Lao PDR Ministry of Education and Sports visit TUAF

The Lao officials were welcomed by Dr. Tran Van Dien – Rector of TUAF, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho – Vice Director of Science & International Affairs Office and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung – Director of International Training & Development Center.

During the visit, a meeting was held and Dr. Tran Van Dien emphasized that since 1984 TUAF has been continually receiving Lao students in furthering their education. It was noted that after their study in Vietnam, many Lao graduates are now gainfully employed as key officials of the Lao PDR government and they contribute in strengthening the relationship between Vietnam - Laos. He expressed a wish that the visit of Lao  delegation will further promote cooperation relations between the two countries in general and NLU partnership between the School and the University of Laos in particular.

The two sides discussed cooperation activities such as faculty & student exchange program including the 3+1 training program for Lao Students. TUAF will consider granting full or partial scholarships for Lao Students. TUAF leaders also expressed their desire to acquire more staff, faculty from Lao to study postgraduate program and exchange experiences in the near future in order to improve the quality of training of  Lao staffs.
