In the framework of growing sweet sorghum project between TUAF and Japanese Earthnote company and Daiwa Institute of Research , the Japanese partners came to Vietnam for working ;rom 4 to April 15 in 2012. During time in Vietnam, Japanese partners had a meeting with TUAF’s leaders to discuss about the difficulties and advantages in organizing of producing sweet sorghum at local areas.
At the invitation of the Israeli Embassy to Vietnam to the meeting between Israeli President Shimon Peres and members having attended MASHAV program in November 26, 2011 at Thang Long Meeting room, Hotel Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Dr. Tran Van Dien – Rector, representing TUAF and staffs from Department of Science and International Relations has attended.
On August 16 2012, Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with the heading of Mr. Osamu Mutara- senior consultant of agency visited and worked in our school. The school’s representatives Associate Professor Ngoan Tran Ngoc and Dr. Thao Hoang Thi Bich warmly welcomed and worked with the staffs of agency.
Mr. Robert Lynch is an intructor at the Department of Physics at UC Davis. He was invited by the AEP office to deliver the course General Physics 7B for AEP-K42 at TUAF between August 20 and September 15, 2012.
The teachers of the University of California and the Vietnam's best teachers teach in English throughout the course. Students are given priority in fostering English 01 years before starting the course.
The Advanced Education Program started at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry in 2010. The Program is a cooperated training program with University of California at Davis, USA (UC Davis). The University of California at Davis- United States (UC Davis) is ranked 50th in the University of the world and ranked 42 in US University.
In two days 18-19/5/2012, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) hosted an exchange program between three Advanced Education Programs from TUAF, Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT) and Foreign Trade University (FTU).
One of the strategic activities in development of human resources for Thai Nguyen University (TNU) was to enhance the staffs’ English language commands in this transition period. Under the supports of experts from CRELLA, Center for Research in English Language Learning and Assessment, the University of Bedfordshire - England, TNU organized a “Conference on TNU English language capacity building” on 30 May 2012 at TNU International School with some 50 participants from all TNU colleges including leaders and lecturers of English and other subject. Dr. Stephen Bax, together with an expert group from Bedfordshire University, facilitated the conference.
