The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) held a ceremony in Hanoi on September 29 to honour advanced models with outstanding achievements in environmental protection activities throughout the 2011-2015 period. Faculty of Environment – Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture is one of 70 advanced models.
Dr. Pham Bang Phuong – outstanding young scientist in 2015
Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Tan Dung met with young scientists who have achieved outstanding achievements recognized nationally and internationally in Hanoi on September 11, 2015. Dr. Pham Bang Phuong – lecturer of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry is one of 70 outstanding young scientists with the best achievements and great contributions in science and technology sector. He was born in 1980. In 2014, he obtained a Ph.D from Gyeongsang National University, Korea.

Welcome Party for new international students
The difference of the Advanced Education Program (AEP), Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) compared to other programs constitutes by 30% of international students those are studying and living in TUAF. This time round, AEP welcomed 32 new students and this brings the number of international students on campus to 67 students.

According to the latest result of The Webometrics Ranking of universities, which was published at the end of July 2015, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) has been acknowledged as the top 10th nationally.
Potential Cooperation between TUAF and Peru partners
On August 03, 2015, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Hung – Vice Rector, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry welcomed a delegation of Peruvian Embassy in Hanoi & Ministry of Agriculture lead by Mr José Luis Rabines Alarcón –Andean Crops specialist. The objective of the visit was to understand the situation of tea production in Thai Nguyen province; TUAF research capacity; technology transfer; and to discuss opportunities for further cooperation.

On July 29, 2015, a delegation from the University of Saskatchewan (U of S), Canada including Ms Penny Skilnik, Director of Special Project and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Anh, an Electrical and Computer Engineering specialist paid a visit to Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry.
