As part of the Australian Volunteers for International Development Program (AVID), one Australian volunteer has been working at TUAF since September 2014, in the position of Agricultural Research Assistant. The role is part of a project funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) in the field of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Medicine for Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF).
On January 08th, 2015, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF) held a ceremony to announce Decision No. 05, 06, 07, 09/QĐ-ĐHTN dated January 05th, 2015. The announcement was issued by the President of Thai Nguyen University on a Vice Rector position at TUAF for the term 2014-2019.
On January 08th, 2015, Dr. Tran Van Dien – Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF) welcomed Mr. Michael Noble – Director of Noble Solutions in Vietnam.
On the 9th of December, a ceremony was launched to announce the Reappointment of Dr. Tran Van Dien to the position of Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry.
Participated by different people from countries such as Japan, Australia, Philippines, Indonesia ,Laos and of course Vietnam on November 7-9, 2014. The trip was headed by Dr. Tran Van Dien, Rector the TUAF, Dr. Hoang Thi Bich Thao, Vice Director of ITC and staffs with the special presence of Dr. Ken Matsuoka, The Japanese professor and Mr. Jonathan Sharkey, ITC’s English teacher from Australian.
On the 27th of November the first conference of Vietnamese and Hungarian universities’ rectors was held in Hanoi. The event coincided with the first official visit of Hungarian President János Áder to Vietnam. The Hungarian president was in attendance along with the Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan.
On the 4th of November Dr. Tran Van Dien – Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF) hosted a reception for Prof. Ken Matsuoka – Faculty of Kyushu University (KU), Japan.
Collaboration with Edith Cowan University, Australia strengthened
The launching ceremony of the national campaign on “Clean up the world” anchored on the theme “Take action for a waste-free environment” was organized in Thai Nguyen Province on September 24, 2014. His Excellency Hugh Borrowman – Australian Ambassador to Vietnam graced the occasion and thereafter he had a working visit to Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry.
On September 20, 2014, the delegation of the Department of Technical & Vocational from the Lao PDR Ministry of Education and Sports, headed by Mr. Bounpheng Somchanmavong, Deputy Director of Department of Technical & Vocational paid a visit to TUAF.
