Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development Visit to TUAF
The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Phung, Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF) and Mr. Nguyen HuuTho – Vice Director, Department of Science – Technology & International Cooperation.Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Phungstated that this visit wouldprovide an opportunity to establish a partnership between BARD & TUAF.
Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD), Comilla is internationally acclaimed for its many innovative works in the field of rural development in Bangladesh. The Comilla Approach to Rural Development, which is, in fact, a package of mutually supportive development models produced lasting impacts on changing the lives and living environment of the rural poor.
The two sides discussed possible cooperation in the field of scientific research. In addition, TUAF & BARD agreed to further develop the relationship through exchange, whereby TUAF staff will be sent to attend short training courses with BARD.
